Hi, I'm Tatty, and welcome to my new blog.
I'm not exactly sure how to write an intro or a profile but here goes!
The basics are I'm a 32 year old queer person, I live in Manchester with my spouse Georgia and I'm ambivalent about gender - any pronouns are fine. I have a degree in marketing and work in communications.
I'm a skatergirl who still worships Tony Hawk and loves alt rock, pop rock, and pop-punk. My favourite music includes Avril Lavigne, Bad Religion, Blink-182, Green Day, MC Lars, New Found Glory and The Offspring. Arcades, bowling alleys, and skateparks are my favourite places and I wish I could do parkour. Marvel movies are my favourite. I've been a casual video game player for as long as I can remember, and Dance Dance Revolution was my jam, and like most of the population, started playing Animal Crossing during the pandemic.
I have ADHD and forever picking up new hobbies and interests. Right now, I'm really interested American history and politics, government, economics etc. I'm also passionate about sustainability and love technology. Last year I got really into art, especially cubism, and fell in love with Picasso's work - and graffiti and Banksy.
I enjoy baking and cooking, and drink far too much coffee (according to other people). I have a slight obsession with stickers. Happiness and kindness are really important to me. I'm excited to see where blogging takes me
sunshine_challenge 2023 Prompt 4: Daisy
Aug. 13th, 2023 10:38 pmContinuing to be incredibly late to the party, we move on to
The lyric that jumped into my head while reading the meanings behind daisies, specifically triggered by new beginnings, was 'where do we go from here? turn all the lights down' from Blink-182's song Feeling This
Prompt 4: Daisy
These sunny springtime blooms have several positive meanings. The meaning of a daisy flower can be purity, innocence, new beginnings, joy and cheerfulness. In the Victorian Era, daisies symbolized innocence, loyalty and an ability to keep things secret.
Bonus Prompt: White Rose
Please feel free to respond in whichever way comes naturally to you, be it thoughts that you share or a work that you create. Please feel free to respond in whichever way comes naturally to you, be it thoughts that you share or a work that you create. If you’d like a more specific idea to kick things off: share a song or fanvideo that reminds you of the Daisy theme.

sunshine_challenge 2023 Prompt 3: Bluebell
Aug. 9th, 2023 11:51 amContinuing to be incredibly late to the party, we move on to
The first thing that came to mind for me was the Rabbit from Watership Down, but that always makes me far too sad so I'm trying not to think about that.
And I want to keep to the theme of sharing music that the prompts remind me of, and there was something about 'everlasting love', that made me think about happy endings and although the song isn't very... 'everlasting love', the lyrics talk about something that was supposed to be:
You were everything, everything that I wanted
We were meant to be, supposed to be, but we lost it
And all of the memories, so close to me, just fade away
All this time you were pretending
So much for my happy ending
The song is My Happy Ending by Avril Lavigne
Prompt 3: Bluebell
In the language of flowers, the bluebell is a symbol of humility, constancy, gratitude and everlasting love. It is said that if you turn a bluebell flower inside-out without tearing it, you will win the one you love, and if you wear a wreath of bluebells, you will only be able to speak the truth.
Bonus Prompt: Lavendar Rose

sunshine_challenge2023 Prompt 2: Gladiolus
Aug. 5th, 2023 07:22 pmContinuing to be incredibly late to the party, we move on to
There was something about the prompt that triggered another Green Day lyric in my head, this time from Good Riddance (Time of Your Life):
So take the photographs and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories, and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth, it was worth all the while
It makes me think of remembering the good times that we had, even though they may be in the past. That even though they might not have been the best decision, they were worth it in the moment. Live each day, and that to me says about the living in a way that represents who I am and the strength of my character.
Prompt 2: Gladiolus
Generally, gladioli represent strength of character, faithfulness, moral integrity, and remembrance. Gladioli are actually the traditional 40th-anniversary flower and the birth flower for the month of August! Each individual colour of gladiolus is also symbolic.
Bonus Prompt: Coral Rose
Please feel free to respond in whichever way comes naturally to you, be it thoughts that you share or a work that you create. If you’d like a more specific idea to kick things off: share a photograph or artwork that reminds you of the Gladiolus theme

sunshine_challenge 2023 Prompt 1: Iris
Aug. 1st, 2023 05:22 pmI am incredibly late to the party, since this challenge started at the beginning of July. However, the post says that there's no official deadline and that people can feel free to join in at any time. So this is me, joining in in August!
The first thing that came to mine when reading the prompt - I got as far as 'faith' - is a line from the Green Day song Holiday which goes 'Hear the dogs howling out of key, To a hymn called "Faith and Misery"' and so for my first response to this challenge, I shall share with you the music video to the song
I have been a fan of Green Day since I was 14, when American Idiot came out. I fell completely in love with the album, went back and listened to their older stuff and completely fell in love. But I do think that American Idiot is still my favourite album. Although I'm not a fan of the musical that was made from it
Also, Billie Joe Armstrong is very easy on the eyes! I don't even care that he's technically old enough to be my dad... Georgia is 13 years older than me so I have no problem with age-gap relationships, in fact they're a bit of a turn on!
Prompt 1: Iris
They can represent faith, hope, courage, wisdom and admiration. Specific flower colors attach further meanings to the pretty blooms. Purple iris brings a message of wisdom and compliments, while a bouquet of blue iris blossoms speak of hope and faith.
Bonus Prompt: Pink Rose
Please feel free to respond in whichever way comes naturally to you, be it thoughts that you share or a work that you create. If you’d like a more specific idea to kick things off: share a poem or drabble that reminds you of the Iris theme.
